It is crazy hard to get a job when you tell people you’re going back to school in the fall. I just finished a 2 hour assessment testing my various Office 2007 (sigh), basic math, and typing skills. Oh, and a grammar test I barely scraped by. I’ll blame that one on school 
In any case, this is what I hope to be the first step on a journey to getting myself some summer employment. The stress of not having a job is starting to crack me open!
I am writing this post from my first generation iPhone! After looking into Fido’s plans for a while I finally made the leap paying only an additional 5 dollars for a 500MB data plan with unlimited texting (two things I wasn’t privy to until now )! Luckily I was never tied to a contract so porting my phone number was a breeze. I was also able to take advantage of their no system access fee promotional offer, cutting off a good 7 dollars from my bill forever!
I can’t help but make parallels between my iPhone and the Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy… With Wikiedia and Google at my fingertips away from home, I will always be able to satiate my hunger for trivial knowledge. I can’t express how happy I am to be living in this day and age!
One tomorrow and two on Tuesday, so this past weekend has been quite busy for Carissa and I. With the amount of studying i have been doing however I am quite confident all three will be aced.
On Friday, I managed to excuse myself from study duty to prepare for my new PIC prototyping board which will soon be complete with the arrival of several 18F4520 samples. I can’t wait to start playing with it! A friend of mine had a Facebook status update stating how he wished he could scrobble songs from his record player so I immediately thought of modding one to recognize the record being played and connect with Last.fm to scrobble said track. Sounds like fun
